Vision:
To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for the Higher Education Institutions through institutionalizing and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support.
Objectives:
The primary aim of IQAC is
To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Strategies:
IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for
a) Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks;
b) Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes;
c) Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society;
d) Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning;
e) The credibility of assessment and evaluation process;
f) Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services;
g) Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

Suggestions Implemented:
The IQAC has given certain suggestions in Education, Curricular, Co-curricular activities and Hostel facilities etc. to enhance the quality of the institution and the following suggestions were implemented
Introduction of Innovative Courses: Comparative Aesthetics, etc.
Introduction of Puranethihasa at Degree level.
Regular reviews of syllabus through concerned Boards of Studies.
Extending the benefit of CAS to the eligible teachers.
Implementation of CBCS at degree level.
Installation of Suggestion Boxes.
Improving Facilities in the hostels.
Extending the span of working hours of Library.
Establishment of new E-Class rooms.
Running a “Career Counselling Cell” for the benefit of the students.

NAAC Assessment and Accreditation Cycle – II :
The office of the IQAC has played a key role at the time of Assessment and Accreditation for Cycle – II in year 2015. Along with the cooperation of all Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff our university was awarded by “A” Grade with 3.71 CGPA on 04 Point Scale.


NAAC Assessment and Accreditation Cycle – I:
Assessment and Accreditation for Cycle – I in year 2003. Along with the cooperation of all Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff our university was awarded by “A+” Grade with 91 marks out of 100.
