In today’s era of research and innovation, numerous opportunities exist for those exploring ancient knowledge systems. Sanskrit, as a repository of rich cultural and intellectual heritage, holds valuable insights across various disciplines and aspects of human life. However, many enthusiastic learners and researchers interested in Ancient Indian literature face challenges in understanding the language of the texts.

To address this challenge, there is a pressing need for a comprehensive digital resource that provides easy access to essential and frequently used Sanskrit vocabulary. This platform aims to present these words with visual aids and translations into multiple Indian vernacular languages, all in one place. Such a resource will significantly benefit beginners, enabling them to engage more deeply with the richness of Sanskrit literature and supporting their research endeavors with greater ease.

This project is designed to serve a wide range of learners, including children, students at pre-primary and primary levels, and beginners in learning Sanskrit. It is also open to anyone with an interest in exploring the language. Through this Open Educational Resource (OER), users can easily access essential Sanskrit vocabulary, making it a valuable tool for young learners and anyone embarking on their journey into the world of Sanskrit.

The project aims to address key focus areas in promoting Sanskrit learning and digital content creation. The specific objectives are:

Promote Sanskrit Learning: Foster Sanskrit education at the pre-primary and primary levels through engaging and accessible digital content.

Expand Digital Resources: Develop and propagate a greater volume of digital content in Sanskrit, accompanied by translations into various Indian languages.

Support Beginners: Provide beginners with digital resources that are currently rare or less accessible in the Sanskrit language, making their learning journey smoother.

Create Foundational Content: Design and develop basic-level Sanskrit content in digital form, ensuring it is user-friendly and available for widespread use.
