Establishment : 2003
School : Veda Vedanga
Objectives of Vedabhashyam:
Vedabhashyam elaborates and explains ideas contained in the hymns.
As mantras are incomprehensible so Bhashyam or commentary is introduced to make mantras understandable.
Though Vedic hymns are important, if the Vedas are studied without understanding their meaning it is not considered to be beneficial.
In this context Yaskacharya has given in his opinion in Nirukta that “(yoarthagnya itsakalam bhadramashnute) योऽर्थज्ञ इत्सकलं भद्रमश्नुते ” that means “he who knows the meaning of the mantras is the real introducer of the Vedas and also knows the subject matter of the Vedas.”
So meanings of the hymns also should be known.
There is description of the process of performing the Vedic rituals and the Divine sacrifices, which is most essential for the smooth conduct of human life.

An Impact of Vedic Farming Practices on growth, yield and quality of Black Rice and Palak

An experiment was carried out by Guduru Koutilya (Acharya-Shukla Yajurveda bhashyam) during the Kharif season of 2021 (July-November) near Chandragiri village, Tirupati to study the impact of Vedic Farming practices on growth, yield and quality of black rice. Black rice was taken as a major crop and palak was taken as an experimental crop. The rice was transplanted in that area on a larger scale as compared to palak crop. Some treatments comprising different manures and their combinations along with one control, replicated thrice in randomized blockdesign were used for the experimentation work in Palak. Some ancient Sanskrit texts like Krishi Parashara, Kashyapa Krishi Sukthi etc. were referred to formulate the composition of manures. All the doses of these manures were applied to Palak crop and some of the manures were also applied to black rice in larger doses. Different parameters were considered to check the growth, yield and quality of the crops. The experiment was also focused on the impact of these manures on the fertility status of the soil (E.g. Composition of Nitrogen, Potassium, Phosphorus and Organic Matter).
