National Sanskrit University (NSU), Tirupati (A Central University established by an Act of Parliament), NAAC A+ Accreditation, has been treading successfully to preserve and propagate Sanskrit and traditional Sastras, establishing their unfailing relevance to the modern world. As a premier institution of Sanskrit education in India, NSU recognizes that the purpose of education is not only to impart knowledge but also to bring out the hidden potentialities of students for their overall development. Conducting various competitions—literary, cultural, and sports—is an effective way to draw out the talents of students. Keeping this in view, NSU organizes annual literary, cultural, and sports competitions for students. As an extension of this idea, the university has been organizing the annual four-day All India Sanskrit Student’s Talent Festival every year since 2007 for students of all Sanskrit institutions in India.
To encourage Sanskrit learners in southern states of Sanskrit colleges, institutions, and universities, NSU is organizing the South Zone Sanskrit Students Sports Meet-2024 under EKALAVYA KREEDA MUNCH (#SZSSSM-2024). It is with great pride and enthusiasm that NSU welcomes you all to the EKALAVYA KREEDA MUNCH, a celebration of sportsmanship, dedication, and the spirit of competition.
The Department of Physical Education at National Sanskrit University, Tirupati, has always been at the forefront of promoting sports and physical activities. This event is one of the best platforms to showcase skills and exchange sports culture.
The meet will be held from 28-12-2024 to 31-12-2024 (04 days)
to promote and bring out students’ talents in various sports and games events.

The #SZSSSM-2024 is envisages the following objectives:
- To provide a concrete platform for Sanskrit students in Southern States of India like Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry to showcase their talent in Sports & Games Competitions.
- To strengthen solidarity among the students of different Sanskrit institutions.
- To develop competitive spirit among the students of Sanskrit Institutions/Colleges/Universities.
- To give opportunity to Sanskrit students as well as Sanskrit Institutions to compete with their counterparts from various parts of South Zone.
- To encourage Sanskrit students to develop skills in sports and games fields so that they can build themselves into balanced personalities and responsible citizens of India, NSU is committed to providing opportunities for students to explore and enhance their athletic talents.
Eligibility rules for the participants:
- Age Limit : 16 to 25 years
- Only Bonafide, full time Sanskrit students of the participating institution, who are studying PrakSastri / UG and PG can participate in the #SZSSSM-2024. Students enrolled in ODL / correspondence courses are not eligible.
- A participant shall not represent more than one University at a time.
- Players must bring with them their Bona-fide Certificates and Identity Cards of the current session duly signed by the Registrar/Prinicipal/Director Sports/Sports Officer of the concerned Institutions/Colleges/Universities
Institution : Sanskrit students from Sanskrit Institutions / Colleges / Universities in Southern States of India like Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Pondicherry
Participants : Each participating institution can send teams consisting of not more than 13 Students, 01 accompanist as a Team Manager / Coach for the entire team.
Participation in multiple events not permitted: Participation of each player in multiple events is not allowed to avoid clashing of the schedules / fixtures for each game.

RECEPTION :
Participating teams may please intimate to the Organizing Secretary at NSU Tirupati, their date, mode, time of arrival and complete itinerary well in advance. The University is located in the heart of Tirupati. Several taxis and autos are available from Tirupati Railway Station, Renigunta Railway Station, Tirupati Bus Stand etc. The NSU is very near to the Railway station and Bus stand, nearly about 3 kms.
ACCOMODATION :
The teams shall be provided unfurnished accommodation in the university hostels 24 hours prior to the commencement of the matches. Teams should bring their beddings and own lock and key. Each team will have to pay a caution deposit of Rs.1,000/- (CASH ONLY) which shall be refunded at the time of departure of the team, after adjusting the cost of damages, if any.

MANAGERS MEETING
The meeting of all the managers of participating teams will be held on 27-12-2024 at 5.00 p.m. in the Department of Physical Education, Indoor Stadium, University campus. The managers should hand over duly certified entry forms to the organizing secretary in the meeting. In support of the entry form of the students, taking part in the #SZSSSM-2024, xerox copies of their 10th class (SSC/SSLC) and / Plus Two (12th) / Intermediate pass & Provisional certificate of the degree (in case of P.G. Students) certificates & Aadhar Card attested by the director of physical education concerned must be submitted to the organizing secretary. Students without the above documents will not be allowed take part in the #SZSSSM-2024
Additional Information’s / Instructions
- All the teams should report at the venues one day prior to the commencement of the events.
- Team Manager/Coach will be fully responsible for their players to maintain discipline at the venue and at the accommodation. The team manager/coach must have authority letters. In case of misbehavior of any kind, the NSU reserves the right to take any disciplinary action, even to the extent of canceling the participation of the concerned Institution/College/University, escorting them off the campus and sending a report of the misconduct to the respective Institutions/Colleges/Universities.
- All the participants should maintain strict discipline. If any participant is found involving himself/herself in indecent behavior, influencing adjudicators, smoking, consumption of alcohol, Eve teasing etc., He/She is liable to be disqualified from participation. Disciplinary action will be taken by the organizing committee. However, the participants if involved in any unlawful-incidents outside the campus, the institution is not responsible for that.
- Food will be served in the hostels during the sports & games events.
- A competition of each event would be conducted only if there are at least 4 teams in it.
- Teams are requested to report at the venue 30 minutes before the start of each event with proper sports kit.
- The Umpires/Referee’s decision in the event is final. Any kind of argument / dissent towards the Umpires / Referees will be subject to disciplinary action as deemed fit by the organizers.
- Traveling Expenses: – Traveling allowance for 13 students (Sleeper Class / Non-A/c Bus sitting) and 01 Team Manager / Coach (as per norms) would be provided by the University. The railway fare concession should be arranged by the concerned Institution. The University would not reimburse the Tatkal amount if the team travels by Tatkal. The University will not provide TA & DA for accompanists.
- The participating institutions have to register and send your entries through online mode. The registration link is available on the University website www.nsktu.ac.in from 27-11-2024.
- Last date for filling entries by the college / Institutions / Universities is 15-12-2024
