M.Sc. in Yoga Therapy

The main objectives of the programme is

  • To develop human resources specialized in Yoga Therapy. 
  • To demonstrate Yoga as a positive health science through scientific method. 
  •  To offer solutions to hazardous health problems caused by modern life style. 
  •  To revisit the ancient health science through modern approach and    instrumentation. 
  • To generate possible employment opportunities and establish Yoga Therapy   Centre in the service of common man. 
  • To generate awareness among the common people, rural, in particular, about the   alternative Yoga Therapy in Health and serve them. 
  • To preserve and propagate ancient Indian concept of health. To interpret the   Yoga Sastras in the modern context for the betterment of the people and social    wellbeing.

      Duration : 4 Semesters 

      No. of Seats : 28

      Age : Minimum 20 years as on 01-06-2021 and should not be more than 35 years of age. In exceptional cases age relaxation shall be considered on the basis of recommendations of the Deans Council of University.

      Eligibility : Only those candidates who have passed any Bachelor Degree/Sammanita Sastri examination or an examination recognised by the University as equivalent are eligible to apply. In addition, they have to enclose Physical Fitness Certificate obtained from not below the rank of Assistant civil Surgeon.

      Medium of Instruction : The medium of instruction and examination shall be in English/Sanskrit.

      Mode of Selection : Selection shall be made on the basis of merit through written test and flexibility test.
