B.Sc. in Yoga  

An undergraduate programme in Yoga sastra, it provides the students opportunity to acquire moderate understanding of Yoga sastra, selected conventional & Vocational courses.

In accordance with National Education Policy (NEP) -2020, the UG Programmes of NSU are designed with multiple exits at the end of I Year, II year, III year and IV year.

  1. One who exits at the end of the first year will be issued Certificate in the Specialized and concerned Subjects.
  2. One who exits at the end of II year will be issued a Diploma in the Specialized and concerned Subjects.
  3. One who exits at the end of the third year will be issued 3year UG certificate.
  4. One who successfully completes the four years of UG will be issued UG (Honors) certificate.

No. of seats : 44 ; 

Duration : 6/8 Semesters ; 

Age : Minimum 17 years (as on 1-6-2021) and should not be more 

than 25 years of Age. In exceptional cases age relaxation shall 

be considered on the basis of recommendations of the 

authorities. 

Eligibility : +2/Prak-Sastri / Intermediate or an examination as equivalent 

  recognized by the Vidyapeetha are eligible to apply

Scheme of study :

Part I : (a) 1st Language – English

(b) 2nd Language – Sanskrit/Hindi/Telugu

(c) Environmental Science

Part II : I.  Elective: Yoga Shastra

  1. Elective- Any one from Conventional Courses as  mentioned in Sastri. 

III. Elective- Any one from Vocational Courses as mentioned in Sastri.

  1. Practical

The medium of instruction and examination shall be in Sanskrit/ English

Note

For all undergraduate programmes sl.no. (2 – 3) the medium of instruction will be Sanskrit only, except in the case of languages and modern subjects.

Rules for Passing the Examination: 

Minimum 35% of marks in each paper and 35% of marks in aggregate.
