The main objective of M.A in English is to develop fundamental understanding of literature and literary sensibilies, to foster Comparative and interdisciplinary research.

Duration 4 Semesters for the 2-year PG Programme 

Age At least 20 years as on 15th August of respective year

Eligibility : A 3 year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 120 credits for a 2 year / 4 semester PG programme.
A student is eligible for M.A. in English if she/he has studied English as a language or English literature as one of the options at UG level. The student also should have knowledge of Sanskrit as she/he has to choose softcore options from Sanskrit electives.
